Guest of the Week: Katie Collins!





A few weeks ago I asked this lovely creature if I could photograph her in one of her favorite outfits. Ever since she got a Nikon Coolpix when we met in high school we've been snapping pictures of one another for fun, and we always have great chemistry because we've been best friends for four years. I've always admired her style and have found inspiration from her for my own closet! One of the best things about this is the reflection of that muted brown-orange lipstick in her shirt. For anyone wondering it is Lime Crime's "Shroom" and is an excellent matte lipstick. Also to be appreciated is the contrast between that earthy tone and that light blue skirt.

    Those eyes? Gorgeous - they just speak volumes, don't they? Such an interesting idea - exploring what people wear and how that describes themselves. Will look forward to following along on this photo journey. P.S. Auntie would love to have a shooting adventure (cameras only) with you sometime.
